Harry Potter 6 ? Plot Summary!

Harry Potter, the boy who lived, is about to start his sixth year at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. Before he gets there, however, Harry is whisked away from number 4, Privet Drive, where he lives with the Dursleys, by Headmaster Albus Dumbledore. Dumbledore takes him from Privet Drive and on a secret mission ? to find and persuade Horace Slughorn to return to his teaching days and take up the position of Potions Master. Despite much hesitation and several outright refusals, Professor Dumbledore and Harry manage to persuade Slughorn to return to Hogwarts and teach Potions. So, what will Snape do? Well, he gets what he has always dreamed of (and has always been Harry?s worst nightmare) ? he is to teach Defence Against the Dark Arts!
After a while, Harry learns to cope. What he can?t believe is that a simple Potions textbook of his can bring him so much trouble, and even nearly get him expelled! This textbook seems to belong to the so-called ?Half-Blood Prince?, who has scribbled his own notes in the margins back in his own school days?like how to brew potions quickly, or which magic word is ideal against your enemies?. During his 6th year Harry often joins Dumbledore in the Penseive, to experience the Headmaster?s memories of 16 or 17 years ago - when Voldemort was at the height of his powers and Harry barely a month old. The sixth installment of the series delves into the young Voldemort?s past, up to the Fall of the Dark Lord, when baby Harry vanquished him. And as Harry and Dumbledore return from a perilous mission, they find Hogwarts invaded by Death Eaters trying to gain entrance to the castle and destroy certain artefacts of Voldemort?s. At the climax, Dumbledore is murdered?by Snape. Harry never wants to return to Hogwarts again.
