I''d Like To Return This Gift
(Perry Stevens)

Publicidade
Christmas morning, 2000, brought Perry Stevens the challenge of a lifetime, a brainstem stroke. Perry, while fighting for his life, and for a life he could learn to accept, decided that God had a plan for him, and with his one hand that works, he wrote his story. Perry explains, in laymans language, what happens with a pons stroke. "The person knows everything they knew before, and they can think just like they could before. The problem is that they are unable to let you know anything." This is called the "locked in" syndrome. "Stroke patients affected like this are literally locked inside their own brains and unable to communicate or move any muscle." Perry, ever strong in his faith in God, goes on to say "And just as he closes one door, he opens another. I now have an Internet ministry that spans well beyond my community. It is worldwide. God has moved my ministry to the twenty first century and continues to speak to others through me. He has given me the the ability to share his message to a world I may never have reached." Perry Stevens''shows his great ability to find good in situations that most people would not be able to deal with. His sense of humor shines through in almost every chapter of his book. "I''d Like To Return This Gift" is Perry Steven''s gift to those in need of inspiration to keep on keeping on.
