MANIAC MAGEE!! The author Jerry Spinelli won best childrens writing award.This is a great story. So far in the story I have read that there is a boy named Jeffrey Magee and he lives with his aunt and uncle because his parents died in a train crash. He hated living with his aunt and uncle because they hated each other but since they were true catholics they wouldnt get devorced. In his house there was two of everything. One day he had a play to do at school and he started screaming with anger and everyone laughed thinking it was part of the role. Then he ran out opf the school screaming and ran away. Then he went to the east end which was where tha black side lived and the white lived on the west side. He never thought of himself as "white" but as soon as he came to town he was labled. White boy fish boy, the kids shouted. But he found a friend and he even enrolled himself in school. He started scream with joy when he moved in with his friend because ha finnaly had an address. And then gang kids spray painted his friends house and Maniac didnt want them to have to deal with his probloems so he ran away again.
And thats all I''ve read so far. the rest is a mystery for now...
