You know how all Governments simply love planning our
future ... whether its knocking down your favourite restaurant
or cafe which was very "Sixties" or covering your tennis
lawn with concrete to make way for the road through the
woods connections with the continent of Europe and the
EU must be made at all costs even if it means stepping
over our preserves ...
Nobody knew how changes would affect all and sundry
until the little houses you once walked into to discuss
tax or any othe civil issue no longer exist .. there standing
in front of me is a Sky scraper ... of the tall buildings style ...
offering apartments at high prices. I wouldnt mind if I got
a private apartment it would be a way the Council could
make up the difference ... so I await the offer ...
This leaftlet is launching two major programmes for the city
of Southampton and there is a futuristic sketch on the
front with a kind of New York skyline and great illuminations
pouring forth from these buildings ..which is described herein
as a core strategy and they await final submission in this respect.
This strategy planned up to and including 2026 will incude spatial
visionary proportions of the city of Southampton and they
denote and detail the key objectives in this connection.
Goodness gracious me ..... Sir Paul McCartney will be 80 something
ten years younger than Dame Vera Lynn who celebrates her
90th birthday this week ... Congratulations : to: Dame Vera ..
