City View
(Southampton City Council)
Finding one''s way in and out of Southampton City Offices I chanced upon a booklet discussing community work in Southampton and such ideas were rife in my mind. I note the interest there was in Souothampton''s Titanic tragedy on April 14 1917 Titanic hit an iceberg in the mid Atlantic and more than 1,500 people died. There is a plaque in the city signifying this sad occasion, and of course Titantic was built in Belfast Northern Ireland and these days they have arranged visits to Titantic centres which display the history of this ship to the public. A new and up to date book is on sales Titanic Voices. The old give way to the new ... meaning its time we all were given a free laptop and a job to go with it.... here''s hoping .. It doesnt matter what you think about gambling ... according to this booklet the City has won a casino bid ... I thought it was Manchester that was the chosen city for a new Las Vegas Gambling Centre ... Collection of rubbish is a topic much discussed locally and I see that people are keen to use other people''s rubbish ... thus the slogan its not rubbish recycle it ... I like new things and get tired of the same old stuff being recycled ... I have had the same carrier bags from stores and I must admit there is a safety factor when they get too worn and are still being recycled. Excellent stuff;;; keep reading ...
