Time flies so quick, so rapid, and so fast!!!!
Beyond my perception, imagination and thinking!
No way could I visualize that,
I would be ever here in a strange place so far from home
I who could never bear to be alone
And would always sulk for every small reason and chance
Am today an adult on my own, a free bird to say!
Maybe then, wings I wanted to fly
Far away from home, far from all shackles and emotional bindings!
But today even with wings I cannot fly.
I am so bound and trapped
So alone and lost in this big city
They call this place the Mecca of opportunities
This place they all come hankering to
But for me this is a golden cage
A tiresome journey with no end in sight
A loveless affair like a harem in chains!
I came of my own free will
But today I need someone to take me away from this life which is but nil!
Give me my home any day
I and my grouses a hundred will reconcile and be happy
I need no wings to fly, no heights to reach, no medals to achieve
Just take me to my home, that distant land of hope and love!
Oh, so happy am I with my clipped wings!!!
I need not fly, I need not soar, so happy am I with my clipped wings!!
