The flare in Hardy?s writing fascinates the reader and her unique style of narrating parallel storylines lends an interesting edge to the otherwise a slow pace read.Story of Irfan an adolescent who is bullied and involved in terrorist activities is presented in a way that the reader is able to empathize with him and understand his uneven emotional graph.As the story proceeds towards its climax, sudden demise of Suriya and Lila grips the reader?s attention and the mystery of their murders keeps the reader engrossed till the end of the book.The only, yet a major setback to the book remains in the long passages of narration regarding subtle description of not so important things.Yet ?The Wonder House? with its interesting and sensitive plot, the wide spectrum of round characters and breath-taking twists and turns truly deserves to top the bestsellers charts.
