Resumo de Persuasion - Jane Austen

Persuasion is a book about love, class, patience and top of all wisdom. When I first read the book, I needed guidance to understand the lessons learned, but then i read again 5 years later. This time I was done with my college, the main characters:Sir WalterElliot the father of selfish and proud character. He was very superficial in his ideas, thoughts! He resembled to me, a beatutiful tempting fruit but with a very sour taste!Unlike his daughter Anne, who was not very beautiful as her older sister Elizabith. But Annie resembled beauty in it's purest forms. With Anne you feel joy, amusement, and you are able to see that objectiveness of the mind is highly respected when you master it! Annie reminds me of the old say,"Never Judge a book by it's cover". Coming to another important character Lady Russell, who was a very close friend of Anne's mother and she is a very sensible lady who Anne trusts in her judgement and values her advice. Lady Russell was a reason for the seperation of Anne and her beloved Captain Wentworth. She didn't intentionally mean to harm Anne, all she really cared about was her happiness. But it can prove that some choices which seem wrong at the time made, might turn out to be the reason for you to form a better understanding of yourself and people around you! Anne and Captain Wentworth have both been hurt by their seperation but this obstacle made a better man of Captain Wentworth and it revealed to him the secrets of the living heart. While to Anne, the seperation contributed to her fading bloom but it taught her that persuasion should not be used except when sure of the matter to be or not to be! Hope which is one of life's precious gifts to man, proved to be the prescription of all times which is never out dated! When Anne and Captain Wentworth unite, the joy and passion felt cannot be described in words. This story teaches us about morals. Mr. and Mrs. croft who are related to Captain Wentworth, are simple kind hearted people. They were not born of noble blood but the became rich from the sea! Mr.croft rent Sir Walters home for a while as part of a plan to rescue Sir Walter from his depts! Despite the money and the house the were able to afford to live in, the Crofts did not kill their pure, good, loving hearts. They had the money and the goodness of humanity! Persuasion shows us the beauty in all it's forms!
