Child WelfareThousands of children in India are forced to surrender their fundamental rights without protest & without having any successful agency to protect them from appalling abuses; Human society has greater responsibilities towards the development of children as future citizens. The future of human world very much depends on the rights of children. The nation's children are supremely an important asset; their nurture & solicitude are nation's responsibility. (National policy for children, 1974 & Sekar, 1992)SUGGESTIONS:-Education should be compulsory until children reach the minimum age for employment & similarly to the requirement that primary education be free of charge.Child laborers also need counseling services to cope with traumatic experiences of violence or other harassment at home or outside the home.
