Prince Charles: A Biography
(Jonathan Dimbleby)
A delightful biography written by Jonathan Dimbleby on the subject of HRH The Prince of Wales his background and family.
Mr. Dimbleby takes the reader through the early childhood of Prince Charles and his sister and family ... and talks at length about the Royal Prince's education in England and Australia ... and deals with his relationships, activities, and his marriage to Princess Diana R.I.P.
There is a point made about the breakdown of this Royal Marriage and Princess Diana is described as having swings of mood and rages ... which were all a background to their divorce.
His relationship to Camilla Parker Bowles now his second wife and The Duchess of Cornwall is focused upon and Mr. Dimbleby describes Camilla's lifestyle which had a lot in common with Prince Charles and they enjoyed joint activities.
Prince Charles has a number of charities which are world famous and there is a reference to Vaclav Havel the then President of Czech Republic writing a letter to Prince Charles about fund raising for the restoration of Prague. . this became known as Prague Heritage Fund.
Prince Charles enjoys ski-ing and polo but these sports are seen as dangerous and this is given a priority in this biography.
Charles and the Royal Family are fully discussed and the Government and Prime Ministers of that period are referred to, say, Mrs. Thatcher, and John Major are given top billing.
I guess, I had better refer to Tony Blair here as Mr. Blair has now been Prime Minister of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for about 10 years.
Interesting stuff ... keep on reading ....
