Stone Of Tears
(Terry Goodkind)

Every once in a while, a book of such intense readability will ensnare your heart and mind leaving your own thoughts constantly awash with the magic from those pages. This is how I feel about the Stone of Tears. This book is the second instalment of the Sword of Truth series. T he first being Wizards First Rule. The characterization in his books is possibly Goodkinds more powerful tool. I feel I know these characters so well that it would seen odd Not to think of them as real people. The subtle intricacy?s of the characters are amazing. There are also so many of them. The main characters are truly outstanding.Like all good fantasies, the landscape is dramatic and wild, the people are as varied as the people in our own world and the battles feel incredibly real. I?ve read many fantasy novels, of varied quality, but this book is my favourite. Goodkinds ability to constantly push the story onwards without loosing the correct pace is what kept me on the edge of my seat and yearning for more. The constant clever, creative ins and outs of the plot, in my eyes, make Goodkind truly original. I?ve not come across another writer with his ability to constantly reinvent the story without loosing sight of were the characters have come from.I had a similar opinion of the first instalment, Wizard First Rule, and did not think it could be bested. How wrong I was. This is a fantasy series I implore all book lovers to read. It is truly Fantastic.
