Cosmic. It?s the 1st word that comes to mind after reading the Da Vinci Code. Cosmic theories, cosmic proportions cosmic conspiracies and of course cosmic book ratings!!! The DVC is a unique blend of fact and fiction. Take the concept of PHI for instance. A few years ago, this divine proportion of 1:1.1618 was the subject of a discovery channel documentary, featuring John Cleese as the host. It professed the same ideas as in the book- that everything in creation corresponds to this fundamental ratio. It?s what perfection is all about; the closer the ratio the more the appeal.From PHI, we progress to the pentacle/pentagram/the 5-point star. Since the proportion shows itself here, the pentacle becomes the very symbol of feminine beauty, or of the ?divine feminine?-the supreme goddess, the mother of creation.Da Vinci was assumed to be, apart from many things, an adherer of PHI and goddess worship, and a Priory Grandmaster. The dossiers that reveal the Priory were the subject of a recent documentary on the NGC.Now, for the conspiracy of the millennium. The divine union that spawned the divine bloodline. Truthfully, it a lot to chew down at first. The book embraces the notion of the bible being a ?best seller? solely due to Christ?s divinity and that the hidden earlier gospels speak of a ?union? of Christ and Mary Magdalene. That the bible is a bit shady is a known fact. The Qur?an deems it an impure version not to be credited to Jesus. And, lets face it all the other messiahs did have spouses. So in all probability there could be a germ of truth in all this. The bible (in the genesis) and the Quran clearly command that there must be a mate for all if life is to procreate.But the true message, one pure fact in the book is actually hidden right in the middle; it spans just about 1-2 pages but Brown was too preoccupied to give it equal spotlight?the bible exists to give a moral base for mankind- to instill hope, harmony and humanity in us. In short it aims at the betterment of mankind. The bible does this. Every Book ultimately must do this. And to conclude, until someone out there can factually prove it to be one big fib, the DVC will remain something to think about-after all, the cosmos is never ending!!!( please rate this.it helps to understand if i'm good at this)
