Pawas - The Rains

Delicious aroma of earth
Velvety, smooth greenery all around
Vying cute paper boats
floating in the rivulets
little ponds that emerge here and there
sky and earth interwined in a
divine embrace !
Rain is nectar from the heaven
to the thirsty earth,
that undergoes the penance
of scorching heat from April to June,
waits patiently for its life ? granting
showers 'Pawas - the Rains' !
This charming season comes with
thick and thundering, Rain bearing Clouds
Cool showers, pattering downpour
with chiseling and hammering.
Rain washed trees, landscape
and every sight enthrall the heart!
Swing in the mango groves
'Sawan' folk songs floating by and
lush green Nature, shake you all inside
arrest you in its charm, never ending!
Roar of cherry black clouds
a gust of wet cooing wind
does make you miss your dear ones !
