Proverbs, Part 1
(The Bible)
It must not be forgotten that the focal point(wisdom) of this book is made complete by the Wholeness of truth and understanding; accordingly, the understanding to be gathered from it is the composite of its elements, meaning they do not stand as individual exhortations but are codependent upon one another and contribute to the message of the book itself. They were not intended as an enumerated list, to be plucked out at leisure by the demands of any particular situation, but to develop the fire of truth and wisdom as one.Though, be it that the task of reviewing the entire book of Proverbs would demand much greater work then I could presently bear, the topics reviewed are what seemed most crucial for beginnning to grasp the book; therefore keep in mind the margin for inadequacy is larger and though its not intended or expected, it is acknowledged.Primarily, in his introduction Solomon states "the fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge". All things not eternal are by nature destined to fade at some point, and so its fairly apparent that anything seen with the eyes will pass at some time as well. The only timeless substances we are directly familiar with are embodied within our higher thoughts and intuitions, and they persist because their essence prevails when rationalizations and world factions attempt to compromise their purity. However, not even these are the most basic, for their structure must follow the strictest laws of reason, which most universally and accurately describe what-is: the truth. In this opening cornerstone, Solomon tells of the ultimatum of understanding: choose anything other than the truth, and inevitably assimilate your fate to ignorance - ultimately death. However, take root in the greatest and only truth, and upon it will real knowledge arise. From this well springs forth the fountain of revelationary insight that is the book of Proverbs. (cont.
