Through The Eyes Of The Damned by Kenneth N. Tatum Jr. a book of four stories which add up to 177 pages, has become a new way of story telling mixing dark fantasy, religion, science fiction and thriller. The way the author K. Tatum Jr. describes his characters, the detail of the characters surroundings, their emotions and how the plot unfolds right in front of the readers eyes is amazing. Although this book of short stories is only for those with a strong stomach because of the twisted detail of murder and torture entwined in them. The Book of Requel, the first story of this unique book, is unique in it's self all because of the new breed of monsters I guess you would call them or fallen ones. These creatures are called vamphilims. The best way to describe them are heartless and soulless angel/vampire half breeds. In the story Requel Ameal goes into detail on how his kind came to be and he tells this to a human named Alan. Vamphilims are magical but dark creatures standing about seven to eight feet tall with blueish skin, beautiful dark gray wings that have spikes of bones protruding from the tops of them. The vamphilims' eyes are piercing gold, green or purple. The story basically is Requel explaining how he has his lived his life on this world for 200 years. Requel also shares his destiny with Alan as Requel's mother tries to convince Requel to join her beside Lucifer's right hand. God has different plains for him and Alan both that might destroy the bond they had made. The Black Spider is the sickest most disturbing story in Through The Eyes Of The Damned. This story follows two different people, Detective Jasmine and the one who becomes known as The Black Spider by the press and the homicide unit. The one they call the Black Spider loves to lores young ladies in between the ages sixteen and eighteen and seduces them with his calm smooth words and his passionate touches on their hands and through their hair. The girls then seem to make the first move and become filled with lust for him. The Spider then starts to please them leading the girls in to his power and then unleashing unrelenting terror on to them with very, very detailed written scenes of torture. What happens after that you will have to read for yourself and how he tortures the young women who thought they were strong enough and smart enough not to get into the situation they did. The only I can tell the person who wants to read this story is that he humiliates the hell out of these young women. Pyschodreamer is the third story in this book of horror and fantasy. This story is hard to review and summarize without giving away the plot and ending. All you need to know is that abuse never pays and that a lot of power can come from a little source. Pyschodreamer is about a family of three, a caring mother, a respected but abusive husband/father and an autistic ten year old boy who is the son. Can you guess who has the power and who ends up at the wrong end of it? You have to read it and I am sorry I can't say. Remorse Of The Seven Sins is a strange story about a lying drug dealer and how he comes to terms for killing over a hundred kids by selling them rat poison instead of ecstasy. A ghost who was like this dealer who killed innocent people but not for greed. The ghost takes the dealer for a ride and he gets what should come to him. Overall this book is awesome and should be taken in deep into the mind because each story I guess you could say has several underlying moral lessons. One is always watch your back or you might feel a knife being slid into it. Another one is what goes around comes around, revenge sometimes doesn't back fire. Last but not least lying, greed and lust get you no where but into more trouble you can handle.
