THE HAPPY MOMENTS
(Short Story)

At a kitty party Rosy narrated her love story.
"At first I just used to it to search the web, play
games, and just general things".

"I finally ventured into chat rooms, but just
observed as I did not have the nerve to chat or
message anyone. Of course with a internet name like
mine, I received a bunch of personal messages that
asked some sexual questions and such, though I ignored
most. I finally got up the nerve to start chatting and
before long I had my own group of friends. I chatted
with a few guys and even met some in person that lived
pretty close but they either turned out to be JERKS or
didn't pan out as anything as friends".
She told,"I came in contact of my university day's
classmate Rajeev in a chat room.He was also very happy
to come in my contact after a gap of long ten
years.One day he sent me a personal and private
message of a friendly nature, which I replied".

"After some days we were chatting as if we had been
intimate since long. We started talking on the phone
and the first time I heard his voice after a long
time, it went straight to my heart. I could tell him
anything and he would listen without judging. My
husband had expired last year in a road accident and
there was a void in my life. I have children from a
previous marriage and Rajeev always asked about them
and discussed them with me".
Rajeev told Rosy that he did not marry as he wanted to
marry her.He loved Rosy from the core of his heart
since college days but could never express that during
those days.
"I was married to Nikhil.My marriage was arranged
marriage.At that time I could not even dream that
destiny had something else for me in store",said Rosy.
Rajeev and Rosy ran up some pretty astronomical phone
bills! Rajeev lived in Mumbai whereas Rosy lived in
Delhi. One day Rajeev came to Delhi on business trip
and met Rosy in person.
"The first time we looked into each other's eyes,we
felt heat. He stayed only for three days, and asked me
to make plans for me to go and see him the next month.
The day I watched his train leave, I cried until I
didn't have a tear left",narrated Rosy.

Rosy went on saying"I felt as if part of me was gone.
He called me that night from train and said he is
crying on the way home and knew that he didn't want to
be without me. He proposed me to marry him. Of course
I said yes. We started discussing my moving there as
there were not many job opportunities for him where I
lived. I didn't think twice. He had already made plans
for us to get married on an auspicious day. Of course
everyone thought we were crazy but we didn't care. We
knew it was right and that we would prove to everyone
that we were meant for each other".

Rosy went on narrating," My in-laws did not raise
their eye brows on my this decission.Instead they and
other relatives encouraged me to lead my life
happily.Those were the most happy moments of my life.
"Finally we got married with the consent of our family
members including my kids who were desparately missing
their papa.We had a two day honeymoon.
I came back, gave notice at my job and started
packing.
It was the longest two months of my life. I came to
his place and got a job, and then went back to get my
kids back . I can honestly say that it's been hard. I
had never lived away from my family".
"He has been my rock and listened to me cry from
homesickness many nights, but has always been
supportive. He is everything I have ever dreamed of
and more. He is a wonderful stepfather to my children.
They adore him. I have found my soulmate through the
internet and have not regretted it one day. I see
myself growing old with him. I tell him that even
though I am homesick, which is not as bad as before, I
would still do it all over again".

Now Rosy can't imagine her life without Rajeev.
Somehow, they knew that God meant for them to be
together and that it's forever. The web site created
opportunity for their happy life.
