GREGORIAN is a monthly spiritual newsletter that started in September 2005 by a bunch of youngsters.
Its aim is to spread the message of love, peace, happiness and harmony with everybody. Gregorian newsletter is privately circulated amongst the residents of New Bombay and Mumbai free of cost.
Sub-editor of Gregorian Jesvin Jose says, ?Our vision is simple. We want to tell the masses whom they belong to. They belong to God and we want to encourage them in their walk with Him. We also help people by putting their needs in the newsletter and offering whatever help we can through it."
When the team members of Gregorian initially started working on to publish the newsletter, they had minimal resources of manpower, money, advertisements and time. But only thing that made them publish the newsletter each month despite the scarcity of resources is the determination and commitment to not quit. Gregorian acts as a means to financially support the poor and underprivileged. A poor mother whose husband expired took Gregorian as a means to help educate her child. A reader after reading the article in Gregorian?s December edition has decided to fund for the child for next two years.When Gregorian was first published in September 2005 the circulation was only 200 copies that were distributed to a very limited number of people. They did not have a website of their own either in the start. But in January 2007, Gregorian?s 700 copies got circulated amongst residents of New Bombay and Mumbai. Also, they regularly send their online Gregorian link to around 300 people to view it.The Gregorian team consists of:Annie Verghese who is working as an architect in Dubai.Thomas Simon who is working for HBSC in Chennai.Ron Zachariah doing his masters in Physiotherapy in Michigan, USA.Manoj Abraham from Kalyan who is an Engineer pursuing for higher studies.Rosh Zachariah from Nerul currently studying to be an Engineer.Jisha Joy from Kalyan who has a degree in MCA and is currently working with Emerson Networks.Shaino George from Chennai who is an Engineer and is currently working with Xansa.Aby K Raju from Banglore who is a graduate in Psychology and Journalism.Nelima Sinai from Houston, USA who is a Chemical Process Engineer working for Jacobs Engineering, Texas.Praveen Jose from Huston, USA who is an Engineer working for IHS energy LTD, Texas.Joyce George from Vashi, New Bombay who is an Engineer and is working as Systems Engineer on an oilrig.Leslie Alex who is the youngest member of the team from Nerul who is a school student.Jesvin Jose from Nerul who is currently studying to be an Engineer.Sujith Abraham, the Editor of Gregorian is an R & D Scientist working with Pfizer.They are a group of people who believe that seeking God is not a post-retirement job. Senior members of Gregorian team resolve doubts and queries of its readers related to forgiveness, importance of prayers, and how to maintain discipline in day-to-day life.
