She suffered painfully her husband's death, but she still remembers to be glad with every single day. Heart disease described in the book doesn't impose to the main heroine. The woman doesn't let it to rule her life. Halina acts according to her intuition ignoring doctors' warnings. In defiance of them she runs, jumps, falls in love and suffers for love.Her poems are theonly mirrow of her soul. They show her doubts, fears, loneliness and deathscare. The book is an affirmation of life, a guide for people who experienced bad fate. It's a kind of instruction how we can live when everything seems to be against us. The writer treats life as a wonderful gift which we should be happy of. At the end of the poem, the woman goes again over the ocean in order toimprove her health. Halina died being 30-something-year-old woman. She suffered a lot of bitterness in her short life. However in spite of everything, she used the given her time as well as it was possible.
