Linenhall Library
(John Hume & others)

Publicidade
I happened to drop in one day to Linenhall Library in Ireland and found on thebook shelves in the members section a lot of material for research onThe Northern Ireland History of Politics, the Good Friday Agreement,The Troubles, The Conflict, the North South Divide, The Catholicsand The Protestants, the Republican Movement and the LoyalistMovement, the Unionists and The Nationalists ... well I wasvery nearly bowled out.I took up my pen and grabbed a seat and started reading... allabout John Hume and the history of the City of Londonderry referredtherein as "Derry". How Mr. Hume had stood firm onHuman Rights with Bernadette Devlin McALiskey and had huge civil rights marches in Northern Ireland. And Mr. Hume went on to take the much coveted prize atthe Nobel Ladder of Prizes herein referred to asThe Nobel Prize for Peace, Mr John Hume togetherwith Mr. David Trimble collected a joint award. Theirefforts led to a handing over of weapons and a turn towardsthe release of political prisoners held in the Maze Prisonin Ireland. And as the situation improved so the prisoners werefreed. The Linenhall Books are a great asset and I urge you to readwhat you find interesting and provoking even if like myself youare what is referred to in Northern Ireland as a "refined Lady Poet"and dont I know it.Excellent stuff ... keep on reading.
