Shadows

Father Jimmy Collins is the author of a little book called Shadows and some people say that Father Jimmy is a saint. I don?t know if he is, or if he isn?t, but I do know that he is a Catholic priest and a healer of the spirit, the mind and the body. He holds regular Masses and Services in the North West of England and elsewhere, and he heals by drawing down the power of the Father to the afflicted person and so provides spiritual and physical repair. He does not claim to heal anyone, he just does it.Father Jimmy is diminutive is stature and a giant in spirit. I do not know how old he is but he is not young. He retired from parish work some years ago and now works harder than ever in his healing ministry. If you need and want help, he will pour blessings into your soul and your mind no matter who you are or what you have done in the past. Fr Jimmy is a true Christian, no respecter of rules and regulations if they interfere with the healing process of his friends. For truly that is what you are when you encounter this man, you become a friend. It does not matter if you are a prince or a pauper, he will help you. His book, Shadows, is beautifully written and is a collection of fifty short stories first published on a weekly basis in a now long gone catholic newspaper. Each story is written in simple direct language so that all may understand the message of Jesus. The subject matter of the book varies, telling stories of love, conflict, beauty, intolerance, comfort, difficulties, prayer, triumph, peace, dreams, and a host of other spiritual experiences in everyday environments as well as in the cloisters and intellectual houses throughout Europe. Fr Jimmy?s stories are true and show the path of Christianity and the wonder of faith. They are his experiences (and trials) mainly from his parishes in Kirby, an overspill area of Liverpool in the UK. They are of everyday people and there are successes and failures told in the most lucid way. Shadows is a book for anyone to read and reflect on, not only Catholics. It takes no longer than five or ten minutes to read each chapter but each chapter will remain in the memory of most people for a long time.
