Pride And Prejudice
(Jane Austen)

The mysticism yet ignorance of blinded love: The theme of Austen's superb book can be summed up as thus.
The charm of the English countryside particularly Hertfordshire and Loungborn with it's vast parks and mansions act as the perfect backdrops to what is essentially a tale of romance. Jane Austen casts a spell-binding attraction on readers in this delightful book. Indeed a book rated among the very pioneering books of literature and approximately the most famous, this book has never ceased to bind it's readers over the centuries with it's magic power.
The five Bennet girls, the most desirable and talked about in the country, are the crux of the plot with their sensible and rational father and hysterical and blinded mother who is intent on marrying her daughters off to rich young men. And come a suitable one, Mr.Bingley with his entourage and richer but somewhat arrogant friend Mr.Darcy to Netherfield Park. And so in the glamour comes in with all the trials and tribulations of love, tryst to get daughters married and Elizabeth the heroine takes centrestage here with her refusal of marriage to a wealthy priest cousin and being taken in by the talk of the villian Mr.Wickham whose character is delightfully represented here as trying to usurp Darcy's property. But eventually Elizabeth realizes that Mr.Darcy was in fact quite a niceyoung man with good intentions and finds out about his part in saving their family honour by helping out Wickhamfor the sakeof their sister Lydia with whom Wickham had eloped. She finds she has fallen in love with him after having spurned him, hated him and behaving rudely with him.
This book keeps readers glued till the very end to know the ending. The separation in between from Bingley and the subsequent misunderstandings created,
also adds to the story's flair. In all, a must-read book for all our customers. Life in high society and it's conflict with the aspiring highs is aptly represented here.
Thus, the story is imaginative, charming and a must-read in this life, atleast.
