Epistle To The Colossians
(New Testament)

Publicidade
This is a letter written to the believers in Colosse. This is written by paul and is is addressing a very important subject, FAITH, AND COURAGE.

He opens by impressingupon them how thankful he was for their stedfast FAITH and encourages them, by litfing their spirits, and letting them know that he is praying for them .
He encourages them to be strong in the faith and to continure to have faith and to persevere. This is a very uplifting book, and it is intended for the people of Colosse. However, we can learn much insight into keeping the faith today.
He sends God's Unmerrited favor and love. And he speaks of those who have lost faith. And reminds them of who God is and how God created the world. He also reminds them to remember him in their prayers, and thoughts.
He basically reminding them of the basic principles of their faith, thus strengthening them for the persecution ahead.
He reminds them to work together, as the body of believers works better when they all stick together. That each person is important and valuable. They all are of equal importance. Tohelp oneanother and to pray for each other. He also states that he had been delayed in coming to them. That if God permits, he would soon visit them.
That hehas thought of them often, in his heart and soul.
To live as if God, Himself was with them.
There would be much less fighting amongst them, if they follow these guidelines.Such as: Husband loving their wives, and wives honoring their husbands. And how to control your own children. This gives many guildlines as to how to live in peace and harmony, with your own family and friends.
It even tells you how to get along with difficult people, such as some employers.
He also sends greeting from Luke, the physcian, and tells the people to share this letter with believers in Lacodicea, and especially to all those in their own house.
He ends it with asking them to remember him in his suffering, ( his bonds) which I think means his suffering.
For the grace of God to be with each of them.
Although, it doesn't say whether he ever did get there to visit them, or to speak to them in person.
It is a very helpful book indeed. One worth reading. It is only 4 chapters long Each chapter as aprox. 25 verses.
Paul also must of had someone write it down for him, as his eyesight was failing.
This is one of my favorite books, in the Word of God. And one worth reading.
