In this sweet tale one learns of the love and faithfulness between owner and pet, in this case a rambuncous Labrador Retreiver named Marley who is terrified of thunderstorms and being alone. He is practically untrainable and destroys the house on more than one occasion, written from Marley's birth to his death the story is sweet and absorbing and hilariously funny; it will bring anyone to tears from utter laughter. As Marley grows so does John's family and as Marley displays his random acts of heroism and he's frequent affection to his owners the reader will fall in love with Marley as well. It is a quick read but so compelling and thought provoking, that the reader will find themselves thinking they wouldn't mind having such a dog! This is anon-fictional novel that tells of the life of a faithful and loving companion from start to finish it is engrossing and thoroughly enjoyable.
