Naham: Book Of Old Testament

NAHAM: Book of Old Testament Israel had been taken captivity by Assyria almost a century before the book of Nahum was written. That God would not let the guilty, the Assyrians, would not go unpunished. That God would take vengeance on His adversaries, enemies. After Nahum, a prophet of God, reminds all that God is good whenever there is trouble as a stronghold and He knows those who draw close to Him. He reminds that those who plot evil against God be consumed. That God will destroy idols and images of their gods because they are contemptible. On the other hand, those who bring good news and peace will celebrate. God says that He will restore the splendor of Israel. Naham declares God?s condemnation on those who are evil. Words like the following are used in his prophecy: swords flashing, slain masses of corpses, countless dead bodies, disgrace, vile, devastated and that God will throw filth on those who are detestable in the eyes of God. The King of Assyria is the evil one named by Naham.
