Jane Austen's books may be considered forerunnerss to the modern day romance novel. The book, Pride and Prejudice, is the novel that has the infamous character, Mr. Darcy. The book has some very funny scenes. It is a good book to have read and then to mention to one's grandmother. In many ways the book is very similar to the other famous novel by Jabe Austen, Sense and Sensibility. The family moves to a new community. The main goal of the fami,y, seems to be to get the daughters suitably wed.
