Mary Daheim has written a number of books under different series. She is also known for her bed and breakfast mysteries. The Alpine Quilt depicts a mystery about a group of women who are a part of a quilting club, andone of their infamous members who had moved away comes back for a visit and ends up dead. Geneiveve Bayard who use to live in Alpine comes back for a visit and ends up dead. Her death is somehow tied ti Vida Runkel, whom is a newspaper reporter and radio show host. Emma Lord, who owns the newspaper the Advocate investigates the mysterious death of Geniveve Bayard and finds some really surprising information. Meanwhile, Alpine is experiencing a string of burglaries that somehow tie into Geniveve Bayard's death.
