"Marek" is a portrait poem about a taxi driver I met in Czech Republic some years ago
when I was teaching there ... it creates the wonderful feeling of two cultures in a spin
both enjoying the excitement of pastures new ... the sense the poet : SM THOMPSON
creates of "wheel" and getting there are new to the stratisphere of modern poetry ...
there is a link here where or when will Marek arrive ...will he be on time ... has he lost
his way both in a literal sense and also in a metaphorical sense.
"Missing You" is another wonderful poem by Mary Anne McMullan who talks about
the feelings of kissing ... sensual pleasure in knowing one another and then
she creates Jesus as her lover ... the bride of Christ notion bears fruit ... its a
great read altogether ... I must admit I enjoyed each and every line of this poem.
