Whose Interpetation?

Recently another minister confessed to religious immoral acts. His tool of the trade was the Holy BIble and what it stood for. The words were written thousands of years ago long before the advent of television and cable channels providing twenty-four hour church services. Wise men caring only fro the spreading of God's work penned every syllable with care and attention. So why do men say one thing and act another way?
People are human. They bleed when cut. They need air to breathe. They also know wrong from right. We hold members of the clergy, regardless of the sect, to a higher standard. We believe they can and will act in a proper and upright style. We find it difficult to conceive they can become pedophiles, or show any signs of weakness of the flesh.
The Bible says we are to forgive man when he commits a sin against us. We are to turn the other cheek when smiten. Where in the Bible does it say it is all right to lie repeatedly even when one is aware they do so? Nowhere does it tell us we should hide the truth from those we are representing. This is not just restricted to any particular religious body. The Bible in no language condones viloence and murder. Yet some groups do so in the name of Allah. It does not promote adultery, yet certain high profile ministers have cast away their vows of faith and indulged with ladies of the evening. Are we to think the Bible means does not mean anything anymore? Are we to feel that man can read his own version of the Bible while preaching another to us?
The Holy Bible is and always will be the Good Book. We can but forgive those in religious leaderrship for being mortal. We don't however have to support them when they can't admit being wrong. The Bible has been around for a long time. It will be around long after we will. Those miscontruing it for their own personal gain won't.
