A Simple Story is truely a simple and straight forward story.In which emotions flow from to reality. Hirshl Hurvitz, a young man in the Galician town of Szybusz, falls in love with Blume Nacht, an impoverished, orphaned relative who has been taken into the Hurvitz home as a housemaid. Tsirl, Hirshl?s mother, notices this development with disapproval.Shestrictly follow the customs of rich families.In which so called repute is more important than the feelings of living human beings.A young man from a family like theirs cannot marry a penniless orphan, so Tsirl arranges to have Hirshl married to Mina Ziemlich, the daughter of wealthy Jews who live in a village near Szybusz. Hirshl marries Mina but remains obsessed with Blume. He has a nervous breakdown and is sent to a small private mental hospital in Lemberg (now called L?vov).their he reliaze the bitter realities of life.After he returns, cured of his mental illness, he comes to love his wife, and they have a second child.
There are not many dramatic turns in the story but it truely depicts the human thoughts which can be changed with love,care and concern.
