Too Much, Too Late
(Marc Spitz)
Too Much, Too Late is a story of a developing band made up of teenagers. Throughout this book it captures the essence of all of the teens in this book. Marc Spitz shows the band's beginnings, and its rise, but then it shows the downfall wich every band would experience no matter how popular it was. Throughout this book it shows that the band will get high off of anything they could find, and they would get with every girl they could find, but never fall in love. But one of the band members falls in love with a girl that comes in and out of the city. The band keeps telling him to get over her, but he did not. And it was the most likely to lead the band to the ground. Her dad got sick, so the band member went with her to go to her dad, and the band yelled at him when he got back. He spent most of his time with her, and couldn't make it to the rehearsals. Then the band started to fall apart. The band was about ready to kick him out of the band for good, but they knew that they couldn't have a band without him, since he was the best singer in town. They had to deal with the fact that they had to rehearse without him. But they became great despite that, and they were known everywhere. The whole band was obsessed with films from Britain, and, specifically, Jane Ashers. The band was named after her. The Jane Ashers was the name of the band. They played their first show at a bar called Tilly's and it led from there on to a big time band. But then it slowly led down to the ground. And after it was gone, everyone knew the name of their song as Debbie but they did not know the name of the band, nor did they remember the people in.
