The Journey
(Mia Allen)
The journey in life is definately one to be embrased. But it is our journey that is effected by everyone elses journey. Following a recent experience of unethical rudeness thrown at the bus driver by a girl in her teens leaves alot to the imagination. Does she not know that else where in the world there is no public transport system and without that she would be walking 3 km to school every morning. Unemployment is a major problem in many places around the world, who is she to go and be rude to someone who has not chosen to take the easy way out with the doll but infact works for the money that she recieves in a very challenging position, however she is there and she has made it.No one in this world has the right to 'take the micky' out of another persons employment situation. In South Africa there are Petrol Pump Attendents and Maids, but there is no easy way out as the government is not yet strong enough to be able to support these people. But all over the world the majority of people are employed and no matter what they do they all contribute towards a city, town, continents success at the end of the day. I may be a Director and you may clean my floor, but I do not have the right as a person to put you down as if you were not there, my floors would be dirty, as simple as that. The world needs to fight against unemployment, however with the recent advances with in the mechanical and IT world even Doctor are replacable, machines are the way of the future. However where do humans fit in to a fully mechanical world? The Da Vinci machine allows a Doctor in Germany to perform an operation in Africa using the latest technology. Yet this makes me return to my previous question of weather the human race will survive with their own technological advances.I end off by saying that at the end of the day more thought needs to go into the fact that will we ever slow down our advances due to someone realising theresults of what being too advanced meant to Society?
