Abstract: A comprehensive coverage of North Korea?s history, logic and momentum to develop nuclear capability. The author brings out that although North Korea does not have enough to feed its masses yet it is determined to go ahead with its nuclear fuel enrichment. It is the national will of North Korea that it has not yielded to American bully or even blow- hot- blow- cold tactics of the UNO. The author focuses on nuclear proliferation in general and the North Korean crisis in particular. He has examined various critical situations which have been faced by North Korea with covert support from China. USA has been careful in handling this standoff while it is deeply involved in Iraq. To this end, geo-political relationship between USA and China and global trends to protect their sovereignty are very significant . The world has witnessed the most courageous response and international statesmanship by North Korean leadership which has taken on the world to uphold its right to research in nuclear technology. It maintains not to allow any USA supported misadventure by any neighboring country. The author cautions that with Iran also pursing the policy of enriching uranium and North Korea maintaining belligerent posture , there could be moments of dangerous consequences for mankind during 21st century.
