A teenager called Asaf runs after a female dog at the streets of Jerusalem. This scene is how the story begins and develops. Asaf, an adolescent, is working during the summer break at Jerusalem's municipality. As part of his job he is forced to find the owner of a lost bitch named Dinka. From the moment Asaf starts to run after Dinka he ties their destinies. While running along Dinka he meets people which are part of Tamar's life (Tamar is the bitch owners) and Tamar's inner and physical world is revealed in front of Asaf's eyes. Asaf meets Theodora, a nun living in Jerusalem that hasn't left her house for more than 50 years. He meets Lea, a 45 years old woman that runs a restaurant nowadays but has a frightening and exciting past. He meets Machliah, a boy that half his face is twisted due to a burn. All these people are a part of Tamar's life, but each of them shows Asaf a different side of Tamar. Tamar gives up on a trip to Italy with her choir and goes out on a difficult and dangerous mission, to save her brother Shai from a street-life, from a drug addiction and from criminals that are after him. She manages to enter a "house for artists" that is run by a man called Pesah. At this house there are teenagers that became "hostages" on there own will. Each boy or girl has a different talent and they are providing themselves and the manager of the house from street acts such as: singing, stand ups, playing an instrument, acrobatics, etc. Shai is an expert in playing the guitar and Tamar is an expert in singing. Tamar kidnaps Shai, puts him in a hiding place that she organized ahead (a cave) and Asaf, that manage to trace them , joins her for several hard days in which they help Shai get rehabilitated from drugs and they them self are getting closer to one another. At the end of the story each character manages to solve a problem/dilemma that stood in her way.
