Honor Among Thieves
(Jeffrey Archer)
Saddam Hussein is plotting revenge after the Gulf war, by trying to disgrace America and it?s newly appointed President, Bill Clinton. He wants to steal the American Declaration of Independence and destroy it in front of the world on American Independence Day. He manages to steal the document with the help of an ingenious plan by a gang of crooks. Now it is up to CIA agent, Scott Bradley, a law professor at Yale, and Mossad agent, Hannah Kopec, to retrieve the Declaration from Saddam?s clutches. Thus begins a race against time and a battle against many adversities. The duo is aided along their way by other Mossad and CIA agents and come up with a brilliant scheme to get back the document. Archer weaves an intricate web of suspenseful twists and comes up with another winner. Though the plot seems far-fetched, the masterful storytelling makes up for it; definitely worth a read.
