The Last Hours Of Ancient Sunlight
(Thom Hartman)

Publicidade
?By contrast to those who live tribally, few people report that they feel even remotely ?free? in our modern society: we are modern-day slaves, held captive by ?slave holders? of our culture. The slave holders use the chains of mortgage owed the bank, the loan on the car, the unpaid credit card bills, the requirement to pay property tax if you own your own home, and the many other subtle and not-so subtle forms of economic and cultural pressure to extract the majority of your life?s time and use it to their ends?.

Thom Hartmann was on brilliant form when he came up with the idea of writing this book, and this book surely flows with the same enthusiasm and inspiration as the idea itself. The idea consisting of many insights into how we can change things on earth for the next generation, as well as pointing out our faux-pas? in the last few decades. Global transformation can be seeded in such a book like this and if the reader is to take responsibility for what the author discusses, then by sharing this book with friends and family is a great start.

Thom Hartmann has written many books and is quite adept at it now, his little anecdotes leave the reader with such heartwarming admiration for the man himself. This book in its first half is crammed full of facts about mother earth and this is a most jaw-dropping read, then Thom lets us into the world of what we call ?primitive? people, and as it turns out they are not so primitive after all and their standards often surpass the western worlds views in regards to relationships with other people and nature itself.
The Last Hours Of Ancient Sunlight is more practical than it is spiritually based and will hopefully inspire its reader into the role of becoming more independent from the slave holders of money lenders and media moguls, and to become more dependant on self and our immediate community (friends and family), like how it used to be decades ago and it still is for several tribal communities across the world. Take heed of the message because this is the generation that has to start acting on what is written in books like this. Little knowledge that acts is infinitely more than much knowledge that is idle. Pass it on.
