gave you instructionon how to take care of it, but you
weren?t paying attentin because you were thinking about
what your friends were going to say. Below are some
suggestion on the best wayto care for your new
piercing
Navelpiercing creates an open woulnd that may
take six months or more to healcompletely. Tight wwaist
bunds,belts and physcialactivities that involve bending at
the waist canlengthen healing time.
Be sure to wash your
hands beore touching your piercing Clean the piercing
with an antibacterial soap twice a day. Rotate the
jewellery 10-15 times to work the soap through,then rinse
with water and dry with paper products,since a damp towel
may harbour bacteria. Donot use alcohol,hydrogen
peroxide,or antibacterial oointments.
See your doctor
immediately if you notice worsening redness or swelling,red
streaks,oozing or bleeding form the piercing site.
