(The Bible)

Publicidade
The book of Genesis was written around 1450 B.C. It is the first book of the Pentateuch, which are the five books of Jewish history and law. The book Genesis means "the beginning," and it begins with the creation story, where the world was created in 7 days. It's main characters include the first man Adam and his wife Eve, along with Abraham, the father of the Jewish nation. The book of Genesis spends many chapters detailing Abraham's relationship with God, and from then on the book focuses on Abraham's family. You'll read about the family drama in Abraham's family as some family members dedicate their lives to God and others who let their jealousy of their family members cause them to do horrible actions. It is a great read, and after you read Genesis you will want to read the next book to see where Abraham's family will be next and how God will affect their lives.
