rain,should be named after a god of war. Mars was the
Roman god of war,always shown as a fince,bearded figure
clad in armour and helmet and carrying a spear and a
shield. He was more than a war god: He was also the god of
farming, and prayers were said tohim. When fields were
made ready for sowing. March is month of mars because it
marks the beginning of season when was and farming,two of
the most important activities in a Roman?s life could start
again.
