People of all classes could enjoy the sport,as it ws just as possible for a humble yeomen to train a bird, as it was for a squire although he probably had a group of falconers incharge of his array of hawks. For classes it ws also a way of providing food. The invention of the sun sealed the fate of falconry, for it was much less expensive to keep a gun then a colelctin of hawks and falconers to tend them. By the end of 17th centuryfalconery had greaetly diminished, but it survives today as sport.
