Great Britain regulated trade in American Colonies to such a great extent that the settlers began to grow annoyed at the controls impored upon ,there were acts of Rebellian (see 1773 the Bostan Tea party) and this hostility flesed into was when, an april,19th 1775,shots were fired at exington. The first battle of war fought at Bunker Hill,Cherles town,was won by British who also scored decisive victories in New York(1776)and Philadelphia(1777) but the American continental congress had appointed George Washington (1732-99)to take charge of untrained America,soldierw and he inspired them to fight for their freedom. Further inspiration was provided on July 4,1776. When congress issued declaration of Independence. The Declaration renounced allegiance to British throne and resolved that therecolonies are,duel of right ought to be,free, and independence states. The Americans were aided in their fight by British?s enemies in Europe and in 1777 the British general Burgoyne (1723-92) was forced to surrender at Saratoga. In 1781 General Cornuwale?s (1738-1805)cut off at York town with French Ships preventing aid reaching him by surrendered and fighting ended. America was granted its independence in 1783.
