What is the World Cup
The World Cup is
supreme football competition. Practically every foot
balling natin in he world neters for it, and it is played
every four yeares. The last finals were in spain in
1982,when italy beat West Germany 3-1. the World Cup
footballgamw was idea of M.Juler Rimet,(President of
FIFA),Rimet plan ws accepted in 1920 and first competitin
was played in Uruguay in 1930. Uruguayws hosen as venue
for several reasons. They had shown what magnificient
players they were at Olympics,theyffered to payevery other
teams expenses and also because it was he year of contry?s
centenary celebratins. Theyalsowon the game. As air
travels was relatively new at this time, only 13 teams took
part, among there such unlikely footbll nations as United
States of America,Paraguay,and Bolivia. The four British
did not compare as they had withdrawn from FIFA before 1930
theydid not play intheir first World Cupuntil 1950. the
original World Cup Trophy has been given permanentlyto
Brazil following has third success in World Cup Series in
Mexico in 1930. It has now replaced with a new Modernistic
Cup.
