Judaism   All religions of the world teachvirtue and help in    promoting universal welfare of manking.  Some of the    important religions of ancient period were Judaism and    Christianity.  These two religious were born in Palestine.     Judaism ws the religinof Jewish and Hebrew people.  The    people who settle down in Mesopatamia under the leadership    of Abraham adopted Judaism and became Jews as its    followers.  In 1700  B.C. great famine struck the people of    Palestine.  Theymigrated to Egypt to save their lives.  The    rulers of Egypt subjected tomanyacts f violence andput them    to severe hardships.  So theyreturned to alestine in 1300    B.C.  ?Moses?become their eader. In the beginning the Jews    lived in manytribes and worshipped manyGods.  Theypractised    several superstitious customs  Moses enlightened in them a    new religious knowledge,through his 10 principles.  Moses    taught them the oneness of God called ?Yehova?or Jehova?.     Under his influence,the jews benefit of the old    beliefs,became Monotheists and worshipped one God. The    following are the ten principles of Moses whichmade themto    lad righteous life.  Theimportant principles of Judaism.    There is onl one merciful God,Yehova who is ove    personified.  He possesses infinite love and gives    heavypunishment tothose whodeviate from the spiritual-path.    Repentence saves people from sins.  It also saves the    sinners from the wrathof God. They believed in the advent    of one?messiah?who would come to earth to save people from    sins.  Justics,kindness and Obdience were theimportant    religious principles.  The Christians believe that the    expectd messiahwas Jesus Christ wh came to earthto save    people form sins but the Jews donot accept this and believe    that Messiahwas yet to be born. This principle of unity of    God among Jews,prepared the background for the teachings of    Christianity and Islam in the world.  Jeruseam iwas their    holy city.  The holy book of jews is called Old Testament    or Apo Cripha.  In this book    manymythologicalstories,wonderful events,poetic niceties    are found,apart from Medicine,Astronomy and histrocial    happenings.  The religious principles of Jewish people and    righteous principles of good living,have been written in    this book.  Ths book is respected byboth the Jews and    Christians.
