The Da Vinci Code
(Dan Brown)

Publicidade
I read this book after all the buzz of it had been published and publicised. I expected, I admit, an extremely brilliant book, full of twists and truthful revelations that would change my perspective on, well, everything. I wasn?t disappointed, really. This is a brilliant book, and it is full of truths. However, it wasn?t as full of truthful revelations as I might have hoped.

What I found particularly likeable in this book is about just how interesting it is. While reading it, you don?t notice time passing. There?s action and some romance, and it is written with clear and enjoyable skill. The words flow nicely together, and the plot pieces together justifiably.

However, this book is fiction. If you are to read this book, do not expect truth. This book is a story, and that is all. Some facts have been inserted which are faithful to the truth, but there is a lot of speculation and opinions and unproved theories inserted also, making this a magnificent read but little more.

This story is about Robert Langdon as he travels across countries seeking out the truth behind the Curators death, and a secret group that is spread across the world. This journey is well detailed and beyond imaginative. Robert is a likeable character, and only wishes to find out the truth. However, this is not a simple mission. But, with a bit of perseverance, the truth slowly begins to unravel, leading to a fantastic and sudden conclusion.

A great piece of literature, and Dan Brown is a skilled and pleasant writer. A novel you must read, even to just see if it is all it is hyped up to be.
