Le Petit Prince
(Antoine De Saint-Exupery)
Le Petit Prince seems to be just a short simple story for children, another fairy tale. But a bit deeper you can find more than you expected. For me... not a philosophy, but feelings. That's the main thought of this book. Author writes like a child, though he's not thinkin' like a kid. The begining is about his childhood, and here we can find the first of many consignments: he draw boa consuming an elephant, the Adults (we can say they play one character) think the drawing shows a hat...sweet childlish proromantic drift. The main character (let's give him a name, Main) grows up (without becoming an adult) and travels around the world by the plane. One day the machine breaks up and Main is forced to land on the desert. Unexpectedly he meets a litlle boy from another planet- and here we meet our title figure. He tells us about his home and journey... Price used to live on asteroid B-612 with his beloved rose and three volcanos, peacefully and rather sadly. One day he decided to leave his homeland and visit another planets. He meets a king, na egocentric, a drunkard, a banker, a lighter and a geographer...They are maximised impersonatins of the frequent people's disadvantages or characters. And, finally, our Prince lands on Earth. Here, he questions about friendship ("..if you tame me, we will need each other"), love or spirit worths (there is more than meets the eye, just see the soul that is inside). There are a lot of hidden meanings in the story- golden thoughts about life and worths. But the main advantage of the book is the cude and seemed to be understanding style. The very cordial tale.
