The Prince
(Niccolo Machiavelli)

Publicidade
The Prince - By Niccolo Machiavelli, is a master plan for seizing power and rising to the echelons of the powerful.

This sixteenth century master piece is a for the sole benefit of people who aspire to become powerful- Yes, for all of those who wanted to up the corporate ladder, become the CEO, president or any such role which calls for undisputed guts & glory. Well, you might even want to call it the leader's handbook. It was originally intended for a fictitious prince ( actually, anyone who wanted to be so!). An astonishingly detailed account of How- to to be a Prince? Whoa!

Ofcourse, One has to draw relevance to one's own situations after reading the book. No matter how many ages pass, the principles found in the book have remained true and largely relevant even now.

It was written by Mr. Machiavelli, sometime around 1512, when he was exiled in Florentine, Italy. He had then, set our on a war path to help anyone who had ever dreamt of becoming a ruler ( A leader, A president, A CEO ) and resolved to write a treatise on leadership that was pragmatic and nut just idealistic management banter, partly to prove that all that wealth of political and strategic knowledge he had amassed, had not gone to waste, even while he was on exile.

While you are it, You might want to read another one of Niccolo Machiavelli's Political treatises - The Discourses. I haven't read it yet.

When you do grow powerful - Do so making others powerful - So that when you look back, You are infact, the most powerful of them all
