As an ardent book reader I got the opportunity to read DAN BROWN'S modern day historically invaluable assessment of the christ and the religion through a NOVEL???? DA VINCI CODE. Being a painter, and writer my self, I found myself relating to the book a lot and tried to absorb the undercurrent the story tells, not about the christ and the christianity, but futility of the current day world and its ideals. The world today has lost all its roots, thanks to any-way-any-how methods of money earning leaves any time for the roots to be irrigated with the beliefs of our forefathers. I would like to mention is that money is definitely a major player in the lives of billions, but what lasts longer than money is the quality of life and work we produce. Why has it been always that we talk about the VINCIS and the EINSTEINS AND the NEWTONS, and the GREAT PHILOSOPHERS and the clerics, why dont we have them in our era???? Why they have been missing in the past century and there has been a draught in the fields of SCIENCE. Dan Brown is correct in telling us about the secret society PRIORY OR SION as because those were the people who had the mind and the ability to break through the barriers and the peripheries laid down by their predecessors, with rationality and open mindedness and evolution as well. The religion never tells us to keep following the past, it definitely tells us that the craftsmanship, the creativity, the romanticism keep on evolving itself with the new generations, and their should be CHRIST, SOCRATES,LEONARDO, and other intrasigent minds, available in every CENTURY. This is the only way we could justify our existance. The books like DA VINCI CODE should be supported and the secret societies like the one shown in this book should not be banished but be supplemented with means so as to bear more fruits, so as to have a greater level of LIVING PROVIDED TO US THAT WE AS HUMANS DESERVE.
