Determination, dauntless courage of a teenage girl who rises from the ashes of bad luck to the throne of power, money and passion! The Heroine Centaine can only be reffered by one name! Phoenix! Remarkable little pregnant lady becoms widow on the day of her marriage and set to sail all the way from England to the dark continent Africa. A Japanese submarine mistook the red cross ship for a warship and drowns it. Centain survives by sticking to a log of the wrecked ship and navigates towards an unknown land through the dark of the night and roaring sharks. The reader wonders what motivates the girl and gives her courage to fight all the ordials and unexpectations. The child who is kicking inside the ninteen year old lass! She is determined to challenge the nature, God and Sharks to achieve one goal! To delliver the child on its father's motherland! She is now stranded in the Burning Shore of Zambia! The thirst lands of Kalahari desert! The land of Sahara and Tribal bushmen and Hunters! Unbelievable plot and unexpected twists of the tale leaves the reader spellbound for many days! Do you know? I still believe that, Centaine lives in southern Africa as an one hundred and five year old lady sorrounded by all the ghosts of a century!
