The book is a tale of 4 friends, beginning many years ago, in a ghost-haunted town, when as kids they preform some great bravery that changes them forever. Along the following 25 years, each one of them grows into a different man with his own everyday matters, meeting the others annualy on the hunting season, in the woods country of Maine. But this year something different happens.
When an old wandering weirdo stumbles upon their hunting campsite, mumbling about sights and visions of heavenly lights, they find it hard- but then inevitable to realize that the man is actually speaking the rather prophecy-like truth. As the plot thickens they realize the nature of the man's sights; and find themselves in a struggle against a malicious alien, a fight in which their only weapon is their common past and lifelong friendship, and their only ally- the Dreamcatcher.
in this book, Steven King, as always, tells a story of mystery and the unbelieveable, the supernatural- but more than this, he tells us about the way people remember, and about the ways they find to discover their inner courage.
