Nine robots. Nine different personalities. Nine stories. Do robots have a personality? An inconceivably difficult question. The simple answer: Yes. Also robots have a personality, like children, like adolescents, ask them for the meaning of the being and their origin. Who am I, where I come from, why am I. They are alike and nevertheless to humans they are different. Psychologists, engineers, technical designers work on prototypes, in order to make a robot to be like a human. Sometimes they succeed better sometimes worse. Humans gave them three rules, the robots live thereafter. How they live and follow those rules, fathoming their way of thinking, is told in this book. A cheerful, interesting and fantastic topic is told so that it makes one think. Humans place themselves the question whether the settings are made correctly and if so why isn?t the robot working as it should? What is the meaning of life? Are robots the next step of the evolution? Created by humans? Could it be? Is each rule that we want them to follow meaningful? Does a robot have to do what a human says? Are we creators? Are we victims? The question whether robots are dependent on humans or humans on robots is not easily answered neither before nor after reading this book. The answer to these questions depends on the point of view one takes. Should one purchase a Robot? Can it read their thoughts? Or is it only to guard their children? The question, whether a Robot is to govern the world, might arise. Is life a purely rational thing? Is a Robot a thinking machine? Or is a thinking machine a Robot? Can a thinking machine be emotional? Questions, which require an answer. Questions that have answers. Answers that raise further questions. Humans and robots can learn from each other. But does a creator learn from his creation? Does a creation have to learn?
