It was a cool Sunday morning, with the bluish African sky partly covered by the clouds, one could hear only the music sound from the twenty four seven shabeen (Pub) situated in the heart of this well appreciated township of South Africa. In the street you could see people going up and down going to opposite directions, but with one common goal, that is going to church and worship God.
It has been, twenty years for a twenty - two year old boy, before he also go to church, his last church attendance was when he was two years old with his mothers, who died of HIV / AIDS the same year. Soon after the death of his mother, the boy lacked guidance, living with the grand mother who did not believe in Christian values or doctrines, the boy ?s life was dominated by African culture which was also not properly followed which simple means disaster was all over the boy?s life.
The boy work up this morning with one plan, that is visiting God ?s house, if possible to give his life to Jesus Christ, he accompanied a born ? again Christian to her church. On arrival he was touched by the songs and the gospel to such an extent that he thought now all his problems were over. He didn?t know that it was just the begging of his problems, for even Satanist claims to followers of Jesus Christ. But how then do you see the differences between Satanists and true Christian believers? This is a million dollar question, which even Christian world- wide cannot easily answer. The first part of the service was so perfect to the man , that he even believed, there was better life in that church than any were else. As the service progressed to the last part, which was collection and offerings time, this poor man brought up by a grand mother, did not have even a cent in his pocket. The pastor started by calling all those with one thousand dollars to come forward , nine hundred, he went on to say those with less than ten dollars come and give. What an embarrassing moment for the man, every one in the church went forward, living him alone. With the policy of this church, soon after giving you leave, that means, the man cannot leave, they left him alone in the church, and the pastor told him that if he don?t have anything to give next time, he must not come to church.
The man was heart broken to such an extent that he dropped the idea of worshipping God. Are Christian Churches there to assist and counsel the poor or are there to make a killing out of the poor. The world is engulfed by evil, I think this is the time, that our Lord Jesus Christ, come and separate goats from sheep. This church as we speak exists in South Africa, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and other southern African states, I understand its roots are from Brazil. Are we forces tides of evil from South African?
